Who is the Holy Spirit?<\/h3>\n

We touched on this when we looked at the Nature of God, various bible verses refer to the Holy Spirit as God himself.Wonder<\/p>\n

What does the Holy Spirit do?<\/h3>\n

These statements have been summarised from the related verses on the Holy Spirit. I plan to redo this list with the bible references for each, as it is a very useful reminder.<\/p>\n

We are born anew by the Spirit, the Spirit gives life, a life no longer enslaved to this world
All who believe in Jesus receive the Spirit, His Spirit for whatever He equips us to do
The Spirit of truth is our Helper, who dwells with us and is in us forever
Our relationship with Jesus is given through the Spirit
The Spirit convicts us of our sin, of God\u2019s judgment, and gives us a hunger for God\u2019s righteousness

Why is that important?<\/h3>\n

Through the Holy Spirit, God is present with us and within us; it is through the Spirit that the victory won by Jesus on the cross is made ours.<\/p>\n

Personal experience<\/h3>\n

There are times when I feel an inner tension, ranging from pain to exhilaration, that overrides everything else, similar to when I feel the loss of loved ones.<\/p>\n
